Automotive Club ADAC (D) has published the Winter Tire Test 2013. As always tested 2 sizes. Second of them was 225/45R17 for midle class passenger cars.
The tests were carried out by the Automotive Club with Skoda Octavia at the following proving grounds:
• All criteria on wet road, fuel consumption and noise: Contidrom, Jeversen, Germany.
• Snow handling, braking and traction: Ulrichen, Switzerland.
• Ice braking and ice circle: ice hall Contidrom and ice hall Fuessen, Germany.
• Dry handling and dry braking: Bridgestone, Rome, Italy.
• Mileage: ADAC wear test around Landsberg, Germany.
• High speed test: TU Darmstadt, Germany.
