This test is a special test with 50 participating products.
The evaluation consists of 2 parts:
Part 1: wet braking and snow braking test, selection of the 16 best products, called "finalists".
Part 2: complete test of the finalists, including fuel consumption, mileage and pricing evaluation. A comparison of final test results between "Finalists" and "Non-finalists" is not possible due to the very different scope of test procedure for "Finalists" and "Non-finalists".
The test was conducted by Auto Bild on following proving grounds:
- wear test: Bridgestone wear test machine, Rome, Italy
- snow test: Continental, Arvidsjaur, Sweden
- wet and dry tests: Continental, Contidrom, Germany
